Central Kowloon Route - Yau Ma Tei Bridge Painting Pier Event
The Central Kowloon Bypass (Yau Ma Tei Section) connects West Kowloon and East Kowloon. To celebrate the commissioning, the project team, in collaboration with a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), organized the "Central Kowloon Route - Yau Ma Tei Bridge Painting Pier Event", injecting creativity and vitality into the community through four themed workshops.
The event featured guidance by local artist Zoie Lam, whose creations will be incorporated into pier printing designs along Gascoigne Road. The pier printing focuses on Hong Kong's "fusion of old and new," showcasing the diverse facets of the community and the changing times, from historical architecture and future urban blueprints to the interweaving of traditional beliefs and multiculturalism.
These pier prints not only beautify the streetscape but also allow citizens to experience the warmth of art in their daily lives, witnessing the city's progress and cultural continuity.
