Introduction

Construction of 4.7km-long dual 3-lane trunk road comprising a 3.9km-long tunnel in Central Kowloon linking Yau Ma Tei Interchange in West Kowloon with the road network at Kai Tak Development and Kowloon Bay in East Kowloon

Construction of depressed roads and elevated roads connecting to existing / future road network at Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon Bay and Kai Tak

Administration buildings, ventilation buildings and facilities for the management and operation of the tunnel

Associated environmental, civil, marine, landscape, public utility, drainage, fire services, electrical and mechanical (E&M) works, reprovisioning works, etc.

CKR is anticipated to commission in 2025

Contracts

Funding approval for CKR was obtained from the Financial Committee (FC) in 2017. The estimated project cost is about HK$42 billion. The CKR is being constructed under eight contracts with details as follows:
