Summary Update
The Finance Committee of the Legislative Council approved the funding application of the construction of the Central Kowloon Route on 20 October 2017. The construction works is expected to be commenced within 2017.

We have already initiated parallel tendering for some construction contracts since January 2017 in order to start the construction works as soon as possible. Please refer to the link to the website of Highway Department for the information on forecast of invitation to tender in coming 6 months.

The Chief Executive-in-Council has authorised the works and use of the CKR project. The gazette notice has been published on 15 and 22 January 2016.

We gazetted the CKR project in accordance with the Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance on 1 November 2013. Public can provide their comments and we will consider and handle their comments according to the statutory procedures.

The Community Liaison Centre (CLC) of Central Kowloon Route has commissioned on 25 April 2013 at the junction of Shanghai Street and Kansu Street. The opening hours are

Monday to Friday : 9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.
: 12:30 p.m. to 13:30 p.m.(Lunch break)
Saturday : 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m.
Sunday and Public Holidays : CLOSED

Exhibition panels, physical models, virtual-reality model and other public engagement materials are provided in the CLC.
